Syrian TV reports cars packed with deadly explosives were detonated in Damascus on Saturday at around 7.30am local time. The Syrian government says at least 27 people were killed and 97 wounded in the explosions, which state TV described as the work of "terrorists". No one has claimed responsibility for the attacks
